Ever wondered what Keurig you have? With over 20 years in the market and more than 80 models released, it’s easy to lose track.

Fear not:

In this article, I’ll provide three practical ways to determine the exact model of your Keurig machine, ensuring you can accurately identify your specific model.

Let’s get started!

1. Visually Identifying Your Model

As a Keurig user for nearly six years, who has tested and reviewed numerous models, I’ve learned a lot about identifying different Keurig machines.

One effective method is simply observing your coffee maker’s visual characteristics. I once had a conversation with Mark, a technician specializing in Keurigs. He highlighted how certain visual elements are unique to specific Keurig models, making it easier to identify them.

This approach has been incredibly useful in understanding the nuances of various Keurig brewers. Here’s what he shared with me:

2. Model and Serial Number Locations

The next step in our Keurig identification journey focuses on finding the model and serial numbers. These numbers are unique to each model but aren’t immediately apparent in most cases.

For instance:

This Reddit user couldn’t identify their Keurig model. Another user had to point out that some Keurig model numbers are hidden under the water reservoir.

As you can see:

Discovering these hidden numbers isn’t as elementary as it might initially seem. Simply put, three common spots could hold your Keurig model number.

But, what hiding spot is your model using? Well, here are the classifications for the more common Keurig models.

3. Using the Keurig Website

Keurig Website Support Articles

The task of identifying your Keurig model can get tiring, especially when you don’t know where to look.

Thankfully, the support section on the Keurig website is a handy resource that has you covered.

It’s a very straightforward process. The first step is navigating to the Keurig official website. You can do this by searching for it in your preferred search engine or following a link to the official web page.

You need to navigate to the support section. You’ll notice a helping hand icon on the top right of your screen with the word “support” underneath. Click the link, and you’ll end up where you need to be.

From here, it’s smooth sailing.

The search bar should be easily identifiable once you reach the support page. From here, it’s as easy as typing your brewer’s model number into the bar and waiting as it does all the work.

But wait!

What if you’ve misplaced your model number or can’t find it?  Well, the support section is still where you need to be. Type loose descriptions of your dilemma into the search bar, like “Where to find my serial number,” and the support page will do the rest.

The fun part:

Once prompted, the support page will load links to articles fitting that description. Click on the one that suits your needs. You can find detailed support articles or links to service manuals.

You can also take advantage of Keurig’s toll-free contact line if nothing else works. This method has saved me the hassle a lot of times.

The Bottom Line

Identifying your Keurig model isn’t as daunting as it might seem. Remember, it’s all about knowing where to look and what to look for.

From checking physical attributes to locating the model and serial numbers, you’ve got several ways to figure out which Keurig you have.

If all else fails, don’t hesitate to contact Keurig’s support team or utilize their online resources. They’re there to help. No matter the model, you’re now equipped with the know-how to identify your Keurig. Happy brewing!
