Vanilla Latte: Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Preparing Your Machine
Kick things off by powering on your Nespresso machine. This primes it for the brewing magic that’s about to ensue.
Step 2: Frothing the Milk
I pour the hot steamed milk into my frother. For that velvety froth, I whisk the milk, ensuring I incorporate a lot of air. Over time, I’ve found that moving the whisk up and down achieves the best consistency. Once frothed, I let it sit for about 30 seconds before pouring.
Pro Tip: Letting the froth sit a bit allows for a much smoother pour.
Step 3: Adding the Vanilla Syrup
With the milk ready, I add my preferred amount of vanilla syrup into an espresso glass.
Step 4: Start Brewing the Espresso
Now, I insert the espresso capsule and start brewing. I particularly like the Nespresso Vertuo Plus for its adjustable tray. After brewing, I ensure to swirl the espresso and vanilla to mix them well.
Pro Tip: Sometimes, I add the vanilla syrup directly to the frothed milk or let the espresso dispense into the froth.
Step 5: Combining the Espresso with a Milk
I gently pour the espresso-vanilla mix into my frothy milk. You can either mix it further or let it blend naturally. And sometimes, when I’m in the mood for a little extra, I garnish with caramel or cinnamon.
Having shared my classic vanilla latte method, I encourage you to try different flavors. Coffee is all about personal taste, and the Nespresso machine offers endless possibilities.
